![]() Or at least that would be the case were it an original concept. It would be an incredible milestone for AI content creation, proving that bots can pave the way for innovative ideas that could push the gaming industry forward. Its starting 3×3 grids are easy to figure out, but its 9×9 ones pose a legitimate challenge that even seasoned logic puzzle veterans will have a hard time solving. It’s a simple, but ingenious concept that has the same appeal as something like Wordle. The game itself is surprisingly addictive. At the end of the process, Tait asks the bot to name its invention and it spits out Sumplete, complete with an explanation about what it means and why it’s a snappy title. He’d continue to work with ChatGPT over the next few hours to refine the game, with the bot even putting together some CSS programming language to make it presentable. Tait says that he had a working version of the game within 30 seconds. Satisfied with the concept, Tait asks the bot to create some HTML and JavaScript code for the game. The goal is to delete the correct numbers so that the sum of each number in the rows and columns hits its target. ![]() Each row and column has a target number at the end of it. The math puzzle game presents players with a random grid full of numbers. On the fourth attempt, ChatGPT pitches another variation on that formula called Sum Delete. When the bot spits out an idea for a game called Labyrinth Sudoku, iterating on the basic rules of Sudoku with a maze twist, Tait asks for a few more ideas. After getting a few suggestions, he goes one step further and asks it to invent its own game. In screenshots of his chat log, Tait asks the bot for puzzle games similar to Sudoku. According to Tait, Sumplete was born out of a few quick messages with ChatGPT. The project popped up online on March 3, when ChatGPT user Daniel Tait posted a playable version of the game online alongside a blog post detailing how it came to be. Where is the line when it comes to computer-generated plagiarism? Even ChatGPT is victim to its own theft, as I’d soon discover. The unusual case adds more fuel to the fire for those who worry about the ethics of AI content generation. ![]() In trying to make sense of the impressive feat, I quickly discovered that Sumplete is nearly identical to at least one other mobile game that’s been available in app stores for years. Given that comment, its wide-reaching popularity, and many re-releases over the past decade, it’s possible it has outsold some games on this list. To make every sim more unique, the old traits system returns from "Sims 3," whereby you choose two main personality quirks and one fatal flaw. The blacksmith is the sole provider of metal-works for the castle and thus, many of her quests would involve filling armor orders and crafting legendary weapons. The knight, for example, serves as a captain of all the guards in the kingdom and many of his quests involve serving as that leader. Unlike other "Sims" games, the point is not a family/social simulator but rather, a kingdom simulator. I’m astounded at how so many people rank it so high. I just relistened to TToT today, which prompted me to look up this thread because I was curious what rankings would be like. They're just the weaker entries in their discography! :) Leave some replies down below with your rankings as well, I'd love to see them! Also, just to clarify, I'm not saying any of the lower ranked albums are "bad" by any means, I still come back and listen to them every once in a while. Well there you have it! My ranking of all Chevelle albums. Strongest tracks would be: Choking Game, An Island, Take out the Gunman, Hunter Eats Hunter. I would've loved at least 3 more tracks! This is also the album that kickstarted my love for the guitar, and shortly after discovering this album I picked up the electric guitar and started learning songs. My only complaint about the album is that it's too short. I feel like they sort of put themselves out there in this record, exploring more of an atmospheric area they've never really tried to explore before, and god damn do I love the result. The best album Chevelle has ever put out. If I were to announce the weakest tracks, I would probably just have to say Antisaint and Straight Jacket Fashion. Front to back, every song is a banger on this one. However I do enjoy the mix on this record, and the guitar tone is just so growly and snarly, it's heavy as hell. Now this ranking would probably confuse a lot of people, as I've read that many do not like Vena Sera's mixing. Weakest tracks? Fell into Your Shoes, Roswell's Spell. Strongest tracks? Sleep Apnea, Mexican Sun, Leter from a Thief, This Circus. You have Highland's Apparition, an intimate acoustic performance from Pete Loeffler that is quite unforgettable. The album starts off strong with the four best songs on the record coming at you back to back. Weakest tracks? Tug-O-War, Another Know it All. Every time I listen to this song I have to check my headphones to make sure the right speaker didn't crap out.) Strongest tracks on this album? The Clincher, Get Some, Vitamin R, Panic Prone. It feels like the entire master track is panned left. Now this album, right here, is the point in Chevelle's discography where I can listen to it front to back and have little complaint (other than the song To Return. ![]() I don't think there are any skippable tracks on this record. My favorites being: Face to the Floor, The Meddler, Envy, Hats Off to the Bull, Revenge and Clones. And I do agree that some tracks are boring, but I do very much like quite a few tracks off of this one. Now, this album I've heard has been ranked quite low amongst the fanbase. Weakest tracks would be Wonder What's Next, and An Evening with El Diablo. Strongest tracks would be Family System, Comfortable Liar, and The Red. This album is definitely a good album, however definitely not my favorite. I'll occasionally come back to this album, and I respect it immensely as Chevelle's breakthrough album. Especially on Self Destructor, my goodness, I just can't enjoy it to it's full extent. It's strange because Joe Barresi has worked with Chevelle multiple times and they've never had this problem before. The mix is the biggest problem about this album, as the songs are actually pretty good, the mix just feels choked, too compressed, and it sounds sort of muffled at some points. I listen to NIRATIAS, then I listen to any one of their other albums, and every single other album just sounds better. It sounds like I'm listening to the album on a 360p YouTube stream. Every song (except Endlessly) just sounds choked. My biggest issues with the album are the interludes and, my god, the overall mixing of the album. I hyped myself up for this album quite a lot, however I feel it has fallen flat for me. Weakest tracks? Skeptic and Anticipation. However, I do really like the 90's vibe it gives off, mostly due to the mixing of the album. There's not really much to say about Point #1. It's not a bad album, just the weakest Chevelle album. Door to Door Cannibals and Punchline are probably the strongest songs on that album, with the weakest songs being Enemies and Last Days. Tracks like Rivers and Enemies just don't seem to get me going at all. ![]() I don't know why, but the sound of this album never stuck with me that much. Hello everyone! It's my first time posting here, and I wanted to share my ranking of all the Chevelle studio albums from weakest to strongest! ![]() Occasionally, one will swoop down from their lofty ivory tower and make conversation with a lowbrow. Lowbrows can’t engage with highbrows, or so the black polo neck wearing brigade will have you believe. Highbrow people only like other highbrow people. Sure, they’ve lost their punch a bit over the years but there’s nothing more fascinating than how people interact with each other – all of life is in those programmes highs and lows. But don’t kid yourself, The Only Way Is Essex when it first launched was nothing short of revolutionary. We rarefy high culture and dismiss low culture as banal or obvious. Well, it’s time to call bullshit on this social acceptable bigotry. Read any Jane Austen novel (particularly Emma) or watch films like Clueless and Legally Blonde and you’ll see a recurring theme: women are expected to better themselves or they’re ridiculed and dismissed as bimbos. It’s OK to take selfies, but only if you know the story of Narcissus off by heart. There’s an implicit sexism in the dismissal of women who like clothes, celebs and pop music as though that somehow precludes us from being interested in anything else. Woolf was right about one thing in her attack on the reviewer who dared to dismiss her as being middlebrow: highbrow was then, and is often now, a term reserved for and cherished by men. To be fair, Woolf was a big old snob (but nobody’s perfect are they). She thought middlebrows were bit old cultural sluts, flitting between high and lowbrow culture – the sort of people who would buy fake old furniture as opposed to antiques. There was, she said, a ‘battle of the brows’ taking place in popular culture and she was totally mortified to be categorised as middlebrow as opposed to highbrow along with the likes of Shakespeare. It is a term, so insulting, that Virginia Woolf fully lost her shit in 1932 because a reviewer at the New Statesman suggested that her work was not highbrow, but middlebrow. not difficult enough to prevent riff raff like me understanding it. It is a highbrow way of dismissing art and literature which is ‘accessible’ i.e. When I got home, alone because I think we both knew there was no point trying to flog a stone cold dead horse, I googled ‘middlebrow’. We’d known each other for a while, and we were around an hour into this particular date – one of many failed attempts to make a match that looked so great on paper but totally failed in all other departments work. I was once on a date when the person sat opposite me (a very smug intellectual PHD type) looked at me straight in the eyes and said: ‘you’re actually pretty middlebrow, aren’t you’? I wasn’t sure if it was a compliment or not, the way his lips curled upwards in a half smile as he said it suggested not. This phenomenon has, perhaps, been exacerbated by the likes of Tinder and Facebook which group our interests as tiny thumbnail ‘likes’ – indicators to potential friends and bedfellows as to how compatible we may or may not be based on our TV viewing tastes. We do it with women in particular, as though our every one of us is defined by her interests: she’s an idiot, she’s a bimbo, she’s an intellectual, she’s boring, she’s cool, she’s plastic, she’s nerdy, and so on and so on ad nauseam. We like to put one another into nice, neat categories. I’m not supposed to admit to all of that at once. I also like, in no particular order: Virginia Woolf (essays especially), Talking Heads (This Must Be The Place), German techno (the really dark industrial kind), philosophy (Ancient Greek and C20th), Britney Spears (especially circa Toxic and double denim), celebrity gossip (lists from A-Z), Phil Collins (every single rubbish song), feminist theory (all sorts), politics (I actually read Hansard) and fashion (not shopping, fashion bbz). I get excited when they announce a spin off: Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons Was My Favourite. It’s not a ‘guilty pleasure’ nor is it something I watch ‘ironically’, I genuinely enjoy watching it. I’m not going to attempt to ascribe a philosophical framework to the show in order to legitimise my love of it or attempt to sound cool, I’m just going to leave it there.
